“When we heal ourselves, we heal the world. For as the body is only as healthy as its individual cells, the world is only as healthy as its individual souls”
— Mark Nepo
I am, in no particular order: a singer/songwriter, yogi, cat mom, Wilderness First Responder, dystopian novel reader, theatre kid, house plant lover, vivid dreamer, sun worshipper, recovering perfectionist/people pleaser, photographer, Swiftie, nature enthusiast, true crime obsessed, born and raised Oregonian, Taurus Sun, Virgo Moon, Sagittarius Rising.
Yoga has played a profound role in my healing journey. I have found meaning through my practice that extends far beyond my physical being.
I hold a B.S. in human biology and use my knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform my teaching (as well as my personal experience with trauma and perfectionism).
I received my 200-hour RYT training at Eugene Yoga, and my teaching style draws from Vinyasa, Kundalini, and Iyengar Yoga lineages.
My intention in teaching encourages above all else listening to your body. As an instructor, I am here to provide guidance, but your practice is your own.
My own yoga practice has empowered me to take up space. To show up and move through the world authentically. To connect with the self, and others, with compassion and curiosity. I aspire to bring all of these aspects into my classes. I believe in the power of yoga to create and nourish a connection between the mind and body and encourage the practice of self-acceptance. I strive to create an environment where every human feels safe to claim their body as their own - which is truly an act of brave and profound resistance in this world.
